Hi, I’m Rashmi …
My Facebook identity is Rashmi Shantha Narayanaswamy, with my mother and father names suffixed with mine, as I am equally proud and happy to be my parents’ daughter. I was born into a middle-class joint family, brought up amongst poverty, struggles and problems. But one thing which was never scarce was Love, Confidence and that Grit to move on how much ever tough life could be.
As a student for 20 years, KG to PG, Kindergarten to M.S., I was a topper and always ranked first. I have won best student awards, teachers’ attention, classmates’ faith and have made some best friends for life. I was also active at sports and other co- and extracurricular activities at both school and college, and have always felt very confident and self-motivating.
Professionally, I have had a brief stint working in IT (VMware Software India Pvt. Ltd.), in academics (as an Asst. Professor at B.N.M. Institute of Technology), as a Career Guidance Specialist (guided 500+ students pan India & still counting)… and as an Entrepreneur (own a Real Estate startup).
I am passionate about Real Estate, Career Counselling and Teaching, also comfortable Coding, with a keen interest in entrepreneurship and technology.
In-person, I’m an ambivert, selectively social and amicable. I prefer to discuss ideas over people. I am a voracious reader and have found my liking towards writing recently.
I have been through the roller coaster ride of life. This innate experience has taught me some most valuable lessons: one of which is to be FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT. But whenever I discuss this topic with my friends, many pointed out that making money, being rich, getting wealthy are all not everyone’s luck. Well! having played the luck card, it is important to analyze whether your effort to achieve it was good enough.
This blog is a result of my comprehensive study, an answer to your questions and a mirror of your efforts. RushTalks is my fresh attempt and this is going to be a journal of my comprehension of varied topics that interest me.
